Shuttle Orbiter Quiz

I learned how to make a quiz.

First I had to plan out with my group on whos doing what. We had to see what order the questions go in for our quiz to be perfect to do. We also reasearched on the answers so were able to make sure that the answers are right, we were kinda struggling on trying to find the right answer.

Next we started to add all our planning stuff onto our quiz. I also needed to find out how to do coding for our quiz so I asked Mr Wong for help about how to code. After doing everything that was needed we tested the quiz for it to be good. After thinking its good we showed Mr Wong our quiz. At the end it needed a few fixs for it to be good.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to reasearch a lot about shuttle orbiters. I did well on my coding.

Interactive Report

We were working on an interactive quiz.

First we planned everything out, everything and all the steps and who’s gonna do what.

Next we started looking for information. For example, like the users, the purpose, stakeholders and more information about the shuttle orbiter.

Lastly we added the answers and the wrong answer. Also all the links for them.

I enjoyed this because I got to make a quiz. I did well on making more questions. I need to improve on finding information and the answers.

 

Podcasting

I did a podcast about shuttle orbiters which tells about the good things about the shuttle orbiter and the bad things

First We researched information about shuttle orbiters. I had to find information about the good and bad things about the shuttle orbiter. I was talking about the bad things that happened about when the shuttle orbiter crashed.

Next, we wrote notes down to remember what to say. I wrote down the good things in my speech and kept on saying it to remember my lines for the audio. 

Then we recorded our group saying our lines for the recording. 

I enjoyed this activity because I did a podcast about if shuttle orbiters are good or bad. I need to improve on not mumbling. I did well on finding information for my good side.

 

SSR Selfie

The task I have done was hot dog.

Hot dogs friend’s and him packed up swimming gear but they had a mistake they were going to Snowville island because pizza came up on the tv and then Kev must’ve  mistaken to press the wrong booking ticket. 

I enjoyed this activity because I got to read about hot dog. I need to improve on finishing my task quickly. I did well on reading about hot dog.

SSR-Selfie

I learned lots of stuff about this book.

Raina wanted a sister when she was young. She was a big sister and her little sisters name was Amara, she always wanted to play with her sister but her sister was a angry and grouchy little sister.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to read about this book. I need to improve on skimming and scanning. I did well on reading for 15 minutes.

 

Synthesising

I learned synthesising. Synthesizing is using my prior knowledge to information that I have found out about. 

First I learned what synthesising means. We watched a video about The 3 Billy Goats Gruff. In the story it tells about the three brothers wanting to cross the bridge to go to the other side. They all agreed to go to the other side, it had lots of grass to eat. 

Next, each brother went one at a time, the order was youngest to oldest. When the youngest goat was crossing there was a big green goblin on the way to get to the other side. The youngest goat had an idea of tricking the green goblin. The youngest goat said “you should not eat me, I would not be a good meal to eat, ” he told the goblin that my middle brother will be crossing the bridge and he’s bigger than me”, he said that the middle brother would be a better meal than the smaller brother. 

After, the middle brother was crossing. The middle brother said his oldest brother would be a better meal to eat than me. So he let the middle goat cross the bridge. The oldest brother was also stopped by the green big goblin. The goblin said “stop there”. He wanted to eat the oldest brother but the oldest brother had no fear of the big ugly green goblin. So he used his horns to bump off the green goblin into the water. 

Last I synthesised that the biggest brother was brave to bump off the green goblin. My new information was always being brave is good for you to teach other people to be brave for things they need to take care of.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn synthesising. I enjoyed watching the story. I need to improve on my prior knowledge. 

Anywords

I played a game called anywords.

First the game starts off with one person writing a word down. You could either add something onto to the word that the other person wrote or wirite another word. For example, someone writes down toe,  you can add an s to make toes.

Next, I added one word between two words which means I got to points. The aim of the game is to get the most points.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to get two points with one letter. I need to imrpove on using words that are real. I did well on getting two points.

Processed Food

I learned two sides of an argument.

First I figured out the two sides of the argument. The two sides of the argument for me are that processed food is good for humans and processed food is bad for humans. I read different texts with evidence showing if processed food is good or not good. I summarised in a little group for each text to see everyones opinion. 

Next we told all our evidence to eachothers to tell why processed food is not good and good. In a group we agreed that food is good because some outcomes of processed food can be good.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn two sides of an argument. I did well on my evidence. I need to improve on understanding the text properly.

Presentation

Me and my group research information about sharks. We researched information about sharks so we can use the skills we have been learning which are inferring and Connections.

First we moved away from the tv for everyone to see our pictures and read our information if they wanted to. Riley and David said their information for everyone to listen. David said sharks are different sizes like big, small, medium.

Next I read my information loudly enough for everyone to hear what I was saying. After me I said what countershading. Countershading is used to camouflage in the water. For example, the great white shark. Great white sharks have a grey back and a white tummy.

Lastly we got to see our scores and for our scores we got merit. We got merit because we got all the information we needed.

I enjoyed this because I got to learn things about sharks. I did well on saying my lines loudly enough for people to hear me. I need to improve on finding information that is true.

Extended Discussion

I learned to use extended discussion for talking about sharks.

First I read the text. After reading we picked a leader to lead the group. The leader sorts out who would be the person reading the first text.

Then the questioner reads the first questioner. Then they tell the comperhender to answer the questioner. The comperhender has to tell the answer for the questioners answer and the comperhender has to have proof.

Next the Oposser has to always have a disagreement incase it is wrong. Last we all agree who is right.

Last the clarifier tells everyone if they all agree and they tell there answer in there own words.

I enjoyed this acitvity because I got to redo extended discussion. I need to imrpove on being an comperhender. I did well on being quesioner.
