Basic Facts Boxes

I did basic facts boxes.

First I answered all the basic facts boxes. I got ony one answer wrong. I did it in 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do basic facts boxes. I need to imrpove on going slow for each answer. I did well on trying to get all the answers right.

Basic Facts Boxes

I have did basic facts boxes.

I did addition in random order. 

I did it in 2 minute and 6 seconds.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do basic facts to 20. I need to improve being faster. I did well on doing all of it in order.  

Statistics

I learned statistics.

First I practised drawing a tally chart, for a tally chart it needs a subject, tallys, and a frequency. 

Next I practised drawing a bar graph, I first drew a line that is 20 boxes down. I added the numbers to each box, I drew upwards seeing what colour does everyone like the most.

Last I wrote all the bar graphs with all the subjects that were needed. 

I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn tally charts. I did well on my bar graph. I need to improve on my tally chart.

 

Ratios and Rates

I learned ratios and rates.

First I learnt ratios. A ratio is a relationship between 2 numbers by division.

Next I learnt about rates after learning about ratios. A rate is a comparstion. 

Last I did a DLO explaining what a ratio and a rate is. And I answered the ratios and the rates. 

I enjoyed this activity because I learned about ratios and rates. I did well on rates. I need to improve on my ratios.

Algebra

I learned to find the gap. 

First I figured out how to make the puzzle. Then I made a table to help me figure the question out. I used ice blocks to figure the puzzle.

Next I wrote how many squares or shapes there are. The skill I used was skip counting if we weren’t allowed to use ice blocks.

Last I got the answers for them. We then checked our answers as a class.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to skip count. I need to improve on understanding the quetions. I did well on figuring out the answers.

 

 

Patterns

I learnt to make a sequential pattern.

First I  learnt what a pattern is and a sequetial pattern. A pattern is an arrangement of numbers or object that repeats. A sequential pattern is a pattern that has an order.

Next we make a pattern that is tricky for other people. After doing the pattern we have to write what is the pattern, what comes next, then I say what is the third pattern or any other number between 1 to 10.

Last we make an answer sheet telling all the answers for the pattern.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to let the meaning of patterns. I need to improve on using patterns more often. I did well on making patterns for other people to figure out.

Kilograms and Grams

I learned to convert kilograms into grams and grams into kilograms.

First we practised converting kilograms. For example, 0.008kg can be converted into 8g.

Then we practised converting grams. For example, 8g can be converted into 0.008kg.

Last I made three of my own kilograms and grams for other people to solve them.

I enjoyd this activity because I got to learn kilograms and grams. I need to improve on converting kilograms into grams. I did well on turning grams into kilograms.

Time Diffrences

I learned different clock times.

First I have to tell what time it is. To tell the time we have to use a strategy to figure out the answer. I figured out the time by working with my partner.

Then I have to tell what is the difference about each of the hour hands.

Afterwards I have to tell what the difference is about each of the minute hands. Then I told the total of the time.

Last I made two clock times for my partner to guess the time.

I enjoyed it because I got to make my own time. I need to improve on practicing more often. I did well on my hour differences.

Prototect/Basic Facts

I answered basic facts questions. 

I first answered each question as fast as I could because there was a timer while I was trying to answer my questions.

Next I wrote ten of my wrong questions into my book and wrote the right answer for each question.

Then I answered a sheet of basic facts to see if I would improve by not having a timer on each question.

Last I wrote ten wrong answers again in my book to see if I have improved or not.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to use prototect. I need to improve on learning more of my divisons in my basic facts to get my answers right. I did well on writing down my wrong answers into my book to know the answers.

Basic Facts

I learned basic facts.

The difference between groups of and groups is. 2 groups is an even number split into half. groups of 2 is making groups with 2 people in each.

First we figured out if it is 2 groups or groups of 2 s. We then wrote down all the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and10 times tables.

Then we took photos of groups. For Example 8 groups of ten. 

Last we wrote the multiplication and the answer for the time table. 

I enjoyed this activity because I wrote down my time tables. I need to improve on knowing my times tables. I did well on figuring the answers for my time tables.
