Kawa of Care

The kawa of care is teached to parents and kids to keep our chromebooks safe for learning.

It is important to remember to not eat or drink on your chromebook for it to be in a good condition to be ready to learn. crumbs and oily stuff will damage your chromebook. Always make sure to hold your chromebook the right ways you have been taught. To hold a chromebook you need to use your thumb and pinky to hold the sides of the chromebook. Then use your other fingers to secure the front and the back.

Make sure to always put your chrome book on a flat surface, do not put it on stuff that is made for stuff to keep warm, the reason why you should not put it on stuff to keep stuff warm is because the heat of the chromebook is supposed to flow but if you leave on something warm it will make the heat go back and forward to your chromebook. Also don’t leave it in your case in case it overheats your chromebook. 

While plugging your charger into your chrome make sure to not put it the charger hold as an angle. Plug it in straight. When trying to pull your charger out make sure to not wiggle the charger while pulling it out because it could break your charging hole.

Always remember to take care of your chromebook for it to be used for a long time in a great condition.

Visualising

Visualising is used to make an image in your head about the story.

Visualising is used for books that don’t have images in them so you can make an image in your head. For example, A story about a pirnsses on a castle stuck at the top, the knight has to save the princess.

Visualising is used for many different types of stories.

Modern Car and Benz Patent Motor Wagon

In the olden days people did not use stuff we used now in the present days.

There are different body parts from an olden car, but now days they use different body parts. The first ever car is called Benz Patent Motor Wagon. This car does not tak you very far.

The model cars have license plates unlike the days in the past. The first ever car did not have windows, doors, and indicators. The first ever gasoline car is Benz Patent Motor Wagon.

Cars are used to transport things or people and take you one place to another.

Sprints

I learned sprinting skills.

First we played rats and rabbits. There are two teams, one person is a rabbit and the other person is a rat. When the coach calls out rabbits the rats have to run from the rabbits. If the coach calls out the rats the rabbits have to run from the rats.

Next we played a game of tic tac toe. In the game there were two teams with three cones each, The two teams had to try and connect a three. The coach was trying to look for people with speed, and how smart they are where to put it. 

Next we did boys all the boys vs eachother. The coach said on your mark get set and go. Everyone else had a headstart because I was still getting ready but I still came first in the race. Then we watched the girls race each other.

Lastly, we did relay races. Riley came first so we had a head start of running to the other side. We came first in the relay race.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do sprints. I did well on catching up to people when they had a head start. I need to improve on focusing on me rather than the others behind me.

End results are the results after following steps to make something.

Materials:

  1. Netbook or paper.
  2. Pencil or pen.

Steps:

  1. Find a topic to write about.
  2. Write the title of the topic.
  3. Write a short paragraph about what you did.
  4. Write what happen first, next, and last.
  5. Write your personal reflection.

 

 

Basic Facts Boxes

I did basic facts boxes.

First I answered all the basic facts boxes. I got ony one answer wrong. I did it in 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do basic facts boxes. I need to imrpove on going slow for each answer. I did well on trying to get all the answers right.

Transporting

I learned what transportation is. The four ways to transport is air, land, rail, and sea.

First I learned the meaning of transportation, transporting is something that takes you from one place to another. The four transporting mode are air, rail, land, and sea. 

Next I found images for each transportation mode,  I attributed the images I found for each mode. The four things I needed for an attribute is a pixabay licence, creator, website, and creator account.`

Last I was specific with my writing. I tried finding interesting facts about the vehicle I have learned about for air, land, sea, and rail.

I enjoyed this activity because I learned trasportation. I need to imrpove on finding interesting facts. I did well on attributing the images.

T-Ball

I learned t-ball.

First we had a warm up. With the t-ball bat we hit it hard to run to one base and repeatedly. 

Next we played a real game of t-ball, we were the people who caught the ball. all of us decided where to stand before they hit the t-ball.

Last we swapped around to be the batters. we were losing from each other. For us to win I needed to get a home run for everyone. I used all my strength hitting the ball hard and I hitted the ball far, our team won because I got a home run. 

I enjoyed this activity because I got to play t-ball. I did well on getting a home run for our team to win.

Maori Athletes

I learned about Maori Athletes.

First I found facts and information about Maori athletes, for example Lisa Carrington.

Next I used my information to answer the questions.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn new things about maori athletes. I did well on using keywords for information. I need to improve on finding the right information for the questions.

Basic Facts Boxes

I have did basic facts boxes.

I did addition in random order. 

I did it in 2 minute and 6 seconds.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do basic facts to 20. I need to improve being faster. I did well on doing all of it in order.
