Hockey Skills

I revised and learned new hockey skills.

First I revised how to hold the hockey stick.  Then I practiced to dribble side to side.

Next I learned the jab, up right stop, up right pass, and the standard dribble.

Last I raced in pears the first mini game I have to move the ball without moving my stick off the ball. Then the next one was dribbling to the end and then back. The last one I have to dribble to the end but we can sabotage eachothers ball by htting it away.

I need to improve dribbling. I did well because I am good at up right pass. I need to improve on dribble up right stop.

 

 

Vocaulary

I learned to make conections with a text and our pior knowlodge.

First I wrote my prior knowledge about drums, a piece of information for drums are, sticks are use for drums.

Next I predicted what the book would be about then we wrote the predictions down. Then we used word hippo and word smyth to find out words that was in the book.

Lastly I wrote down the synonyms and antonyms and using the word in a sentence.. Antonyms mean the oppsite. synoyms means the samething

I enjoyed because I got to learn what prior knowlodge means. I need to inprove on reading a text. I did well because I know information for drums.

Compound Setences

I learnt to write a compound sentence

First we Identified a compound sentence. It is a sentence put together with a Fanboy.

Next I wrote a compound sentence with continous present, continuous future, and continuous past.

Last I have to still use a verb and a subject in my sentence.

I enjoy this activity because I got to learn what subjects are. I need to improve on writing compound sentences. I did well bceause I know what subjects mean.

Fractions

I learned quarters and halves of fractions.

First I learned about denominators. The denominator is the bottom number in a fraction. It show the total number of pieces an object was cut into, and the top number in a fraction. it show the number of pieces you have.

Next I learnt what halves are. for example 1/2. Then I took a photo showing the fraction.

Last I learnt quarters. for example 1/4. Then I have to take a photo showing the fraction.

I enjoy this activity because I got to learn fractions. I need to improve my learning. I did well because I know my halves.

 

Email traffic

I learned to write a polite, informative email.

I first learned what I use in a polite email. To send a email to someone you use a greeting and a subject.

Next I revised to use a compund sentence or a simple setence in my email.

Last I sign off. For example from Densyn.

I enjoy this activity because I got write about my email traffic. I need to improve looking at my email more. I did well because I used a greeting in my email sentence.

Hockey Skills

We revised our hockey skills.

I first played a game called taniwha. To play taniwha there is one taniwha and we were using a skill called dribbling. Then the taniwha has try to take the peoples hockey ball to  get them out. If your ball goes out the sqaure you are out. The taniwha hit my ball out of the sqaure.

Next I played taniwha again but this time w were playing the foot game. The taniwha has to hit your foot with your hockey ball. I try stopping the taniwha from hitting my foot but I was to focused on my ball.

Then I revised dribble dribble push pass. I was moving around so when they call out a color I can make my hockey ball touch the cone that the. I had to dribble dribble push pass to my partner because he was closer to a green cone.

Last I played a game called the 4 corner hockey. There are 4 colors red, blue, green, and yellow. I had to try and hit our cone to get a point if the ball goes out the of the sqaure the game is done. I did not let blue get a point so I hit the ball to Mathues then he hit our cone.

I enjoy this activity becuase I got revised how to dribble. I need to improve on communicating to my partner. I did well because my push pass was straight.

 

Relationships

We learnt how to Identify characteristics of a good team member and Identify Actions and factors that can prevent a team from working cooperatively

First we define characteristics. For example, brave is a characteristic that explains that you’re not scared and you don’t fear anyone.

Then we put our negative words on the outside of the body and our positive words on the inside for example. Communicating, It is positive because it helps your team.

Lastly we played a game and it was all about teamwork. We failed because we didn’t communicate when we played the game.

We enjoyed this task because it was all about teamwork. We need to improve on communicating as a group. We did good at writing our negative and positive words.

Quatrefoil

I learned how to make a quatrefoil.

I first learned about Max Giblett that is a famous person for his amazing art.

Then I made 4 circles that was the same size. Then I did two lines, one verticaly and horizontaly.

Next I put my cicrcles on the line to make my quatrefoil even.

Last I did a color that show an emotion. My emotion is green because I am happy.

I enjoy this activity because I got to learn how to make a quatrefoil. I inprove on putting my circles on the line more. I did well because I know hot to group my circles to make a quatrefoil.

Simple Sentences

I learned how to use simple sentences.

First I learned the three states that are Continuos, Simple, and Perfect. Then I learned my three teneses that are Past, Future, and Present.

Then I learned what a simple sentence is. A simple sentence is a sentence that uses subject, verb, and object.

Last I had to think what could my sentence be for example. The water traped the land. The state is simple past.

I enjoy this activity because I got to learn verb, object, subject, and simple. I did well on thinking what could my sentence be for my photos. I need to improve thinking what state my sentence can be.

Prior Knowloadge

I learned to make a conntection between a text and our prior knowlodge.

First I thought of what are drums and what can drums do.

Then I made a comment and put all my ideas of what can drums do on the shared doc.

Last we talked about what does pacific mean. Pacfic means an ocean.

I enjoy this activity because I got to know what Pacfic means. I need to improve learning about drums more. I did well because I now know what drums are used for.
